About Prestige Legal & Corporate Services
Business Based. People Focused.
Prestige Legal & Corporate Services Pty Ltd (Prestige Legal & Corporate Services) is an incorporated legal practice and business consulting firm providing a diverse range of specialised legal and business advisory services to individuals, small to medium enterprises, government and public companies in Australia and overseas.
The incorporated entity was established in Sydney in 2003 and prior to that time the firm operated in New South Wales under the auspices of Robert J Nicholls Solicitor & Barrister, initially providing legal, advocacy and business consulting services to a range of private clients, sophisticated investors, small to medium enterprises and public companies in Sydney, New South Wales.
In 2008, Robert Nicholls, the founder of Prestige Legal & Corporate Services, relocated to the Gold Coast in Queensland for a commercial contract role with a listed public company providing legal and business management consultancy services to this entity and its subsidiaries until April 2011.
In June 2011, Prestige Legal & Corporate Services established its first office in the rapidly growing northern Gold Coast region of Coomera, Queensland. Due to the significant growth of the firm, Prestige Legal & Corporate Services acquired its second office in Southport, Queensland in late 2012. The Southport office is now the head office for the group and the firm continues to operate from each of these sites extending its services to clients around Australia and overseas.
The inspiration to establish Prestige Legal & Corporate Services was based on the observations and direct experience of the founder in noticing a discernible disconnect between business client needs and the services offered by lawyers.
Robert Nicholls observes that, “This was based on my own experiences while in senior executive roles in commerce. I wanted our firm to be an agent of change, evolving the role and perception of lawyers to business by promoting open communication with clients about fees and value and a renewed focus on listening to clients. I wanted to remove the ‘US and THEM’ approach and replace it with what I call ‘relationship based lawyering’.
